Coke smuggler busted at Phnom Penh Airport

Drugs detected inside a South African's belly

Cambodian police detained a South African man at Phnom Penh International Airport after a tip led to the discovery of 100 plastic-wrapped bullets of cocaine rammed up his arsehole.

The Phnom Penh Post reports that South African schemer Jacobus Dawie Botha was pinched, stripped and probed.

Officals are puzzled at the influx – just two weeks previously, 1.5 kilos of cocaine was seized from a Venezuelan woman at the airport two weeks – both flew into the country via Brazil.

According to the cops, extracting the drugs was not as simple as yanking them out of his aresehole.

“We have let him eat so that the drugs come out, one by one. We have medicine to make him deliver them,” he said. In total, 36 pellets were extracted.

Speculation is that the drugs were headed to Thailand.
